Taliyah Brooks 1st Place Women's Invitational Long Jump and 3rd Place Open 60m Hurdles - Tyson Invitational 2024

Taliyah Brooks, an ASICS professional athlete, won the women's invitational long jump with an indoor personal-best 21-7.25 (6.58m) at the Tyson Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Brooks improved from her 2018 performance of 21-6.75 (6.57m) at the Tyson Invitational, achieving the mark six years to the day from her previous-best effort. Brooks also became the fastest American pentathlete in the 60-meter hurdles, eclipsing the 8-second barrier for the first time by running 7.97 seconds to take third in the open section final. Erica Bougard previously had the fastest mark by an American, running 7.98 seconds in 2018. Jessica Ennis-Hill of Great Britain is the fastest multi-event competitor in the 60 hurdles at 7.87 seconds. More videos |
